New Nebraska Tests
Nebraska is revising its state tests to reflect the new reading and math standards. This year, your student will be practicing for the new reading test. Next year, your student will practice the new math test and actually take the new reading test.
The NeSA-Math test is being revised as well. It will use other question types similar to those used on the NeSA-ELA test.
High school students will no longer be taking the NeSA assessments. The state of Nebraska is having all 11th graders will take the ACT test. The test will be given in April 2017.
If you have any questions about the new tests, talk to your student's teacher or contact Dr. Larson at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Working in Partnership!
Substitutes are very important partners in PCSD’s effort to meet its mission. A thorough review process ensures high-quality substitutes are brought into the classrooms.
Supporting Quality This quality is supported in the following ways:
· Annual training
· Access to the district professional library
· Individualized training on content area needs
· Continual feedback on substituting experiences
· Opportunities for feedback on teacher and district support of substitutes
Application Process Substitutes apply through the Job Opportunities link on the district website (see instructions in attached files).
Health and Safety Training Plattsmouth provides safety training to substitutes who are working in the district.
If you are interested, when you arrive to sub, ask an administrative assistant at any of the buildings for a copy of the letter explaining the training. This letter also includes a list of online courses that are covered in this opportunity.
Do you want to know what is being focused on at each grade level? Check out the Essential Brochures. We are "digging in our heels" on these learning outcomes!
You will be held accountable for these expectations if you sub in classrooms where testing is taking place.
